Thats what I did for my 2nd one, I grabbed a cheap NA ECU and used that while waiting for the chip. Then, I sent the NA ECU in to get socketed and flashed for the TT swap (cost an extra 200 bucks over just replacing the chip in my other ECU, but it was worth it IMHO). The custom automotive industry such as this (and many others with small markets) tend to suffer from this kind of thing a lot, its time to get used to it (Coz is a blatant exception to this obviously).
